Focus on developing “Training Environments”

With apologies to my colleague Nov Omana, I’m going to post something he commented on in a recent HR Breakfast Club meeting on the topic of “Innovative Approaches to Training”.   I think it right on.  What do you think?

One of the trends now is that people are looking for just-in-time training – they are looking for answers to questions that arise in their day-to-day jobs.  Traditional approaches to training focus on building content.   Rather, the focus should be on building environments that enable people to find what they need.  We are now moving to an environment where how and what you need training in is outside the control of corporate.
