I recently had the privilege of speaking at the Ascentis Encounter-New Engagement conference in Las Vegas.
First and foremost, I want to thank Ascentis for giving me the opportunity to address their customers. And I must say the conference had quite a lot of energy as evidenced by talking to the customers. It was professionally and well run and I was welcomed by all that were there, not only the Ascentis staff but the clients as well.
My presentation was all around the partnership that business and Human Resources can form. And at the heart of that speech, being an HR technologist, is that technology would play a great part of that relationship building. I wanted the audience to leave with three thoughts in mind:
- HR is the custodian of culture, and culture drives the workforce to deliver against goals and helps to retain the workforce
- HR needs to deliver a workforce that is agile and engage to help meet business goals
- HR needs to be an advocate of enterprise technology to use the leverage of the technology to develop the agile workforce
The presentation was well-received, I had a lot of folks coming up afterwards and talking to me about the various types of vendors and Technologies I spoke to.
I look forward to speaking more about this subject in the future.
